Lull'd by the moonlight have all pass'd away"

Wen Hua Jie, otherwise known as Liu Li Chang Street of Chinese culture, was our next stop. We were told by the ppl at our hostel tt it's an interesting stretch of shops housing loadsa arty-farty stuff and tourists usually love it. So we made it a point to go down. What we saw were shops after shops selling chinese art, calligraphy, some potteries etc. Pretty interesting. But as I'd probably mentioned earlier on, we were dying of thirst due to the hot weather. Therefore, instead of admiring the art works there, we were more focused on searching for drinks.

Check out the 2 rows of art houses along that stretch!
Ahhh! Incest! Haha
Ouch!
ROARRRR
There were also such makeshift shops there
These are interesting, intricate pieces of art. What's in each casing is actually a tiny book with chinese calligraphy and paintings on each side of the page and you actually need a magnifying glass (on top) to see/read it.
I'm not sure if these are true authentic pieces done by Yue Minjun. But I've read before that his cynical realism paintings are now highly sought after and may even fetch up to millions! Best known for coming up with paintings featuring grinning faces just like these. To see more of his works, you may wanna do a search on his name. Though I'm not one who can really appreciate art, but I kinda like his 'between man and animal' actually.
