Yeah tt's right! Happy Belated V Day to all of u guys out there! Yesterday was vday and what made it so much better was tt there was no school for me! Haha! Now aren't I lucky? Alright... shan't gloat to all u jealous souls out there! Wahaha!

I know tt many wld say how commercialized v day has become and tt everyday cld be a vday. It didn't have to be on feb the 14. But still, it is a significant day and it's special cos this is a day whereby many wld rmb their other 1/2s and their special friends. If we were to treat every other day as V Day, wld it be any more special then?

Got tt for bubu as a vday gift this year. Ordered it online and thank gdness it was shipped over in time! Haha... I had itchy hands as usual so it turned out to be too colourful i think. It's probably a distraction even. Sorry!! :) But hey! It's the only copy with panda touches available in the world ok! Don't play play! Hahaha... lol "My most meaningful v day after so many years" sure puts a smile to my face. Haha... anyways, glad u liked it!

Met GL in the afternoon right after he was done with school to catch the movie jumper. I rmb seeing its trailer the last time we caught AVP2 and it looked good. So watching it the very first day it's released was it! It's good and i really liked it. But it was too short I think. 88 mins just wasn't enough! Guess it's probably cos a series of jumper 2, 3 etc will be spawned sometime soon? Imagine how great it wld be to possess such powers of being transported instantly to anywhere u'd like to be within seconds. When ur unable to sleep at night, transport urself to some other country tt's still in the day and live it up! The powers of transporting urself somewhere else and doing whatever u want to do, where anywhere is possible. It's like WOW! A dream come true! But sometimes, it can be pretty troublesome too. Imagine having random thoughts abt a place w/o actually really wanting to be there and the next min, before u know it, ur already there. Haha

If u had such powers, what wld u have done? Wld u be like the typical super heroes and start saving the world? Or wld u be like Jumper David who chooses to indulge himself instead? Ask him what occupation he has and he'd say he's in banking. Well, he's not entirely wrong. He is in banking. Just tt he literally transfers money manually by transporting himself. Guess modern day ppl are unlike super heroes. They are selfish. They wld rather use their powers to help themselves and the ppl they love. That is reality. I guess the scene tt best signifies this was when David sat down to catch the news. There were reports on floods in certain areas with ppl left stranded etc but David merely turned off the TV and went out on yet another spree for more self-indulgence.

Like any other movies, there was someone to keep the baddie in check. Paladins (sp?) existed to destroy jumpers. It was strange actually cos technically speaking, I sld be rooting for the paladins. But I realised I was actually rooting for the jumpers. I didn't want them to get caught and destroyed. Instead, I wanted the Paladins to just scram and die and to just mind their own biz. Leave the jumpers alone. So perhaps there really is a baddie in everyone.

After the movie, we rushed down to meet the rest of the other cheapos. Mandy texted us to say tt she was unable to make it cos she sprained her ankle at work while taking my scgs jnrs out on a tour ard IMH. Gosh! Can't believe it! Aft so many years, Miss Sie was still organizing such tours! I can still recall my own tour session! Haha! Come to think of it, she's really a great teacher cos her lessons are always so interesting. Anways, coming back to this, Miss Ho (our tj form teacher) was unable to make it as well cos her relatives were coming over to her place. So that leaves the 4 of us. We waited for YY at the ctrl statn and texted/called her several times but she did not pick up her call. Heeded GL's advice to just go over to dinner's instead of waiting for her and so we did. Jan joined us soon after she was done with work. Turns out tt yy msged her to say tt she was feeling tired and wld not be joining us. !!! YY! Bish bish! The next meal's on u! Hahaha!

Janet wanted steamboat for dinner. Hmm, well well... it seems like i've been having steamboat quite a lot lately. Ate and bitched for a couple of hours. Exchanged gifts too. Thanks! I love it! Now I've got one more to display on my table! Guess it'd make mugging slightly less boring cos I have u guys with me during such torture sessions! Haha! Thanks! And I hope u liked what i got for u too!

Janet kept snapping pix of us while laughing her heads off. Yeahyeah... we looked stupid as usual. WTH! Hey... I took proper shots of u ok! And this was what I got in return? Janet Ma! U rmb! Haha

GL suggested to walk back home like the other time from the interchange. Much as I wanted to, but I cldn't. Had to rush back to help my mom with some stuff. So I gave tt a miss. Apparently, if ur a hokkien, u'd have to pray to ti gong (sky god) last night. Yest was also the night for kids to stay up late (shou ye they call it). Wheee! For once I'm not nagged at to go hit the bed. Permission was granted to stay up as late as I wanted to. :)

Didn't manage to snap a shot of those elaborate offerings and stuff like special joss sticks that turned into gold ashes after they're burnt last night. Was busy. So here's all tt was left this morning sans the elaborateness.

See all those yummy fruits? I can't wait to attack them after they're chilled in the fridge! Oh another thing we had to do was to cut out red circles from sheets of red paper and to stick them on each item. I've no idea what's the meaning of it. But anyhow, i was instructed to do it. I'm not sure why but I'm really unable to cut out proper circles. Everything turned out looking like red hearts instead. It wasn't intentional and instead of scolding me, mom actually praised me for being creative on V day. Phew! Guess she was in a good mood else I wld have had it there and then! Haha

If not for this event, I wld never have found out that there was at least 3 types of ang ku kuehs tt are sold. So far, I've only seen the 1. round and flat ones and 2. the round and sharp ones. I've never seen flat and rectangular ones before like the ones u see in the bottom of this pic. Amusing eh?

And so tt was it. Oh yeah... just some updates. GL heeded my advice and accepted his SEP stint at Fudan in the end. I just hope all turns out well and tt he wldn't feel like killing me when he's actually SEP-ing next yr. Hahaha!
