"Beautiful dreamer, wake unto me,

     Starlight and dewdrops are waiting for thee;

 It's already the end of March, which leaves me with about a month or so as an undergrad. That's like 41 more days before I can finally say I've graduated! Working life beckons immediately thereafter in May. Am I a workaholic? No break? Haha... (Yeah! It's confirmed and I've finally reached a decision as to which offer I'd take. I'm pretty excited actually cos never did I imagine tt I'd end up working as tt. But well, let's just hope tt it's a wise choice. I sure hope it is! Haha)
Anyways, I wanna take the time to reminisce abt my undergrad yrs. Nah, I'd not bore u guys to tears abt my incessant complaints with the uni like I always do. But well, for a change, let me think abt the positive things shall I? Haha. Besides the friendship forged btw great friends, a major plus will be the many overseas opportunities which I was really fortunate to be a part of. Not only was I able to interact with many ppl of various cultures, nationalities, beliefs, ages and occupations, at the end of the day, I've befriended them as well. U know that despite the geographical distance, they still form a very significant part of ur life. Besides, with technology, remaining in contact isn't difficult at all.
My overseas ventures are certainly something I'd never forget for life. I've gained alot and learnt so much abt myself through them that never did I ever regret. I mean, if I were to turn back time, I'd certainly do the same. I might even take on more overseas trips if possible! Haha.
Let's walk down memory lane shall we? :)
Year 1 was all abt trying to fit in to the university, to the culture of my faculty and the new faces ard me. CORS was certainly something which I had to get used to. Administratively, it is the best system to adopt. However, there is a downside to it as well. Sometimes, u may actually end up taking a module which doesn't interest u at all just so u cld clear certain uni reqts within tt semester. But well, there's always pros and cons to anything. So CORS sldn't be an exception.
My decision to take up german for 2 years wasn't something which I regretted. But I gotta admit tt during the 2 years itself, it really wasn't easy. Sometimes, I even thought of giving up. To learn a language requires discipline, determination and drive. Haha... having the interest itself isn't enough. One thing u really need is an absorptive brain tt retains data. Memorising all the articles (Der, Die, Das) isn't all. There's so much other stuff u gotta rmb too. For someone whose memory is so terrible, tell me.. is tt dreadful? Haha... But well, everything worked out in the end and I survived those 2 years! Now, I can say... Ich spreche Deutsche aber Ich kann nur ein bischen Deutsche sprechen. (Haha...Nicht sehr gut Deutsche ja?) lol... Oh yeah... I went for a language immersion program to Freiburg at the end of yr 1. Check the following pix out! Gosh... it's been a really long time since I last saw these pix! Haha!
