Qing Ming Festival, also called Tomb Sweeping Day or All Souls Day, is a day whereby the living calls to mind their departed loved ones. In the past, we used to pay our respects to our ancestors - those whom we never before saw in our lives - such as my great grandparents for example. But as time passed, we soon had to pay our respects to ppl whom we know and loved ever so deeply before and still do.
Was at Tse Tho Um (not sure of the spelling) to visit dad last wkend. That was the same place he was cremated at years back. And strange how it seems... the place still looked every bit the same. U know what... i really dislike certain times of the year as they will always serve as a painful reminder to me of many unpleasant things and horribly greedy ppl year aft year without fail, i mean... beasts who used to be relatives. Anyways, i shan't dwell on that here... ;) Time shall heal all these wounds... though in this case, it's more or less a matter of trying to disregard the matter rather than truly forgiving.
Both kids were there this year as well. Ryan was pretty cute actually especially when he said "Hi gong gong! I am ryan" as he smiled and waved at my dad's urn which bore his picture at the front of it. Haha.. he's adorable isn't he? Ilyssa was looking cute too!
Some stuff we bought for dad as offerings this year. They're customs and beliefs which my mom holds true to, so we just followed her instructions. But anways, this car looks exactly like our old car doesn't it?.jpg)
