The cake costs a bomb! 80+ bucks! But it was worth it. We got a friend to bake it and gawd... he bakes cakes that taste heavenly. It was worth every single cent man! He used to bake cakes for hotels but has since stopped to bake cakes on his own at home. If u hadn't tried his cakes, u hadn't eaten a real cake before. Hahaha... i mean.. seriously!

That day ended on a different note. Serene and Ben brought the kids home to sleep before we meet up the following day. Guess what we did? We sent 4th aunt back home. And of course, I had to rely on my best friend GPS to get there cos it was the first time for me getting from harbourfront to makepeace rd! We didn't intend to enter her hse but since we were already there, why not? The moment yueh and I stepped into her place, nostalgia hit us. We hadn't been to her place for years, since we were in pri/sec school I think. And now that we're finally back there again.... the feeling was just weird. That's a place with loads of our childhood memories, a place where we'd chill after school while waiting for mom to knock off from work, especially since it was so near scgs at dunearn rd. When we were even younger, we'd play silly games with our cousins Angeline, Lucky and Ronnie ... like hide and seek, and even games whereby we'd imagine we were at the market buying vegetables from vege sellers (Angeline). The joke's that she'd always get a big scolding from her mom after we're done playing cos all her plants were in a total wreck! HAHAHA! It was pretty fun those days... I mean where else could u find cousins who were double ur age and willing to entertain us bored kids by playing such childish games? Haha...

It's strange cos as we all grew up and got older, we kinda drifted apart. The last time we actually really got together was the Bangkok trip many years ago when Dad was still around. That was like ... 8 years ago! When we cousins meet up these days, it's just awkward. We're all just so cordial and polite, with little to talk abt. Strange eh? But I guess the present relationship is not too bad after all cos at the very least, we r still in contact, albeit minimally but still in touch every now and then whenever one of us has an event/occassion to invite each other. Wonder when will be the next time we all gather to meet again?
